Job Description:
A company is looking for an Outpatient Emergency Department
Coding Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for outpatient emergency
department services
Calculate Facility E/M levels and code surgical procedures to
capture additional revenue
Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain accuracy in
code assignment
Required Qualifications
Must be certified through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or
CCS-P)
At least 6 months of on-the-job coding experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems
Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95%
or higher
