Job Description:
A company is looking for a Principal Nuclear Design and
Shielding Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity, 100%
remote.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and analyze shielding models for nuclear systems
Calculate dose rates, energy deposition, and gas production
rates
Provide guidance on shielding strategies for novel nuclear
applications
Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering or equivalent experience with
30+ years in the nuclear industry
Expertise in radiation shielding design for experimental reactors
or fuel cycle facilities
Proficiency in Attila, MCNP, SCALE, ORIGEN, and CAD tools
(SolidWorks, SpaceClaim/ANSYS)
Experience with NQA-1 quality programs preferred
Fast reactor experience and software development skills for nuclear
applications are a plus
